Editorial Review

The Brisbane dining scene has become increasingly fond of exploring the creative side of cuisine. Eves on the Park is a perfect example, taking a refreshing new look at some tried and true methods in the kitchen. Opened in September 2007, Eves on the Park overlooks the Roma Street Parklands offering a casually relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the European inspired menu. Keeping the focus on seasonal ingredients meshed with creative flair, Eves has diners flocking to the restaurant attracted by that winning combination of fabulous food paired with impeccable service.

For an appetising opener, begin with the chicken consomme with chestnut tortellini and julienne vegetables. Another speciality of the house is the ocean trout gravalax, cured with vodka and dill and served with a vibrant grape and cherry tomato micro-herb salad. For a modern touch on a more traditional dish you can’t go past the pork belly, braised with milk, cinnamon quills and bay leaves which is then reduced to a delicious chai-like jus. Eves on the Park is popular for private functions and events. They have also hosted some successful charity promotions, including the Chandon-sponsored Camp Quality launch. The sister restaurant of Eves on the River, this parkside version of the successful Eves formula is certain to go from strength the strength.
